Classes and Workshops

Autumn has been teaching movement classes since 2013 and is currently teaching burlesque fundamentals and co-teaching a grinduate program through Nashville's Nashburly troupe alongside founder Lacey Kraken.

She enjoys teaching beginners foundational burlesque-style movement and believes that the best burlesque performers are not always the most technically proficient dancers, but instead are the entertaining performers who utilize musicality and crowd engagement.

"How do I get started in burlesque?"

Mentorships are available! Classes are definitely a great place to start for folks who want to dip their toes into a fun and new hobby. Those who are interested in learning how to get into burlesque performing professionally would benefit from mentoring.

Sh!t Happens!

Recovering from on-stage blunders

(for dancers of all levels who are already performing or plan to perform outside of a studio setting)

Performing can be unpredictable at times, and things don't always go as planned! Between costume malfunctions, technical difficulties, props not working as intended, and choreo blackouts, there's a lot to consider!

During this workshop, we will talk about the importance of recovering after the unexpected happens, as well as ways to prepare yourself for such an occasion.

The end of the workshop we will do some basic choreography and then throw some monkey-wrenches (safe ones!) into the mix.

The audience wants to see you succeed, and the best part of an on-stage blunder is nailing the recovery!

Aural Fixation

demystifying musicality

It’s all about making that sweet, sweet music.

Everyone’s heard of musicality, but what does that really mean?

As a musician and immensely theatrical human, I love using my body to translate musical phrases into physical movements. This is a great way to communicate with your audience and help them really understand what you’re trying to convey with your piece.

We are going to listen to a few examples of songs and discuss how to find the most efficient way to move through the music, and then dance it out!
